Uniform

All Otters wear the same uniform:

• The long-sleeved shirt. For girls: light blue; for boys: tan
• The navy blue shorts for boys and the navy blue skort for girls
• The navy blue crew neck sweater
• The navy blue socks
• The neckerchief (called pelt) in the colors of the Group. It symbolizes belonging to a group and will be given after two to three outings. It is tied with two knots.
•  The belt with the FSE buckle

The Otter insignias:

• Right sleeve
  • The group strip worn on the right arm, at the shoulder level
    
  • The province badge worn on the right arm, below the group strip
    
• Above the right shirt breast pocket
  • The F.N.E. strip
    
  • The American flag above the F.N.E. strip
    
• On the left shirt breast pocket
  • The cross insignia
    

The promise insigia: awarded by Wise-Oak based on the the child's progress

All Timber Wolves wear the same uniform:

• The Basque beret, which will receive the child's progression insignia

Progression Badges: They are awarded by the unit leader, Akela, as the child progresses:

• The Promise Badge, sewn on the beret
  
• The Stars, worn on the beret, on either side of the Promise Badge
• The Badges, worn on the right sleeve, below the province badge

All Explorers wear the same uniform:

• The four-dented hat. Navy blue for girls ; khaki for boys.
• The long-sleeved shirt. For girls: light blue; for boys: tan
• The navy blue shorts for boys and the navy blue skort for girls
• The navy blue crew neck sweater
• The navy blue socks
• The neckerchief in the colors of the troop or company. It symbolizes membership in a group and is awarded after two or three outings. It is held in place by a neckerchief slide
• The decade is above the neckerchief slide
•  The belt with the FSE buckle

The Explorers Insignia:

• Right sleeve
  • The group strip worn on the right arm, at the shoulder level
    
  • The province badge worn on the right arm, below the group strip
    
• Left sleeve
  • The patrol ribbons at shoulder level
  • The 2nd or 1st class badge
• Above the right shirt breast pocket
  • The F.N.E. strip
    
  • The American flag above the F.N.E. strip
    
  • The duty emblem badge above the American flag
• On the left shirt breast pocket
  • The cross insignia
    

Progression badges: They are awarded by the company leader or the troop leader, according to the pace of the youth’s progress

• The promise cross, fixed to the hat cord above the left eye
• The badges below the province badge
• First Aid and/or Interpreter badge (if applicable) below the 1st class badge
• The major badge (if applicable) above the chest cross
