The atmosphere of the Timber Wolf clearing or pack replicates that of a large family. At its head is Akela, who is assisted by other adult leaders. This group of adults guiding the children is called the Timber Wolf leadership team. The leadership team organizes the rhythm of outings, activities, and games while ensuring that the educational objectives of the Explorer method are achieved.
The children are divided into teams of six, called sixes, which are represented by different colors: white, gray, black, and brown. Each six is led by a sixer, a 10-11 year old child, who guides the younger ones through their experience and example.
The happy family has its habits and rules, respected by all, so that everyone can live in harmony.
