A spirit of teamwork

The children are organized into gender-specific groups led by parents. The girls form a "clearing" and the boys form a "pack". Timber Wolves form a close-knit and joyful group called the "happy family".

A framework

Both in the clearing and the pack, the children observe the same customs. The law, the motto ("do our best"), the maxims, the good deed (GD), the gatherings, and the songs.

An imaginary world

The games and activities are based on an imaginary framework inspired by Rudyard Kipling's "The Jungle Book". The Timber wolves go on hunts when they play; they gather at the Council Rock to discuss their activities; they take certain characters as role models, and so on.

Doing one's best and improving

The Timber Wolves are encouraged to always "do their best". The children's progression is marked by the following stages:
