Portrait de Rudyard Kipling

This imaginary tale written by Rudyard Kipling illustrates, through its characters, multiple life situations reflecting a moral called "jungle wisdom." They serve as examples for children to grow.

Each Timber Wolf is invited to identify themselves with Mowgli and grow in an unknown world. Through each adventure he experiences and the characters he encounters, Mowgli learns to respect others, his environment, avoid bad influences, cherish friendship, overcome challenges, and take initiative.

The Old Wolves - the adult leaders - who guide the young wolves take on the names of Mowgli's educators: Akela, the leader of the wolf pack, Bagheera, the panther who is a master of the hunt, and Baloo, the wise and knowledgeable brown bear.

It is not necessary for the children to read The Jungle Book. What they need to know or understand from it will be told to them by the Old Wolves.
